NSM Position Statement: Full Disk Encryption Essential
Security Requirements version 0.2, dated 1 May 2014
STATEMENT
The Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM) supports the Full Disk Encryption Essential Security
Requirements (ESR), version 0.2, dated 1 May 2014.
PURPOSE
The intent of this Position Statement is to make it publicly known that NSM:


Recognizes a need for evaluated devices that are suitable for the use cases identified in the
ESR, and
the ESRappropriately scopes the security functionality of such devices
SCOPE
NSM will revisit its position during each stage of the Full Disk Encryption collaborative Protection
Profile (cPP) development.
