”feel good” opplevelse.
2.
I Techno room presenteres:
-
4.

CITROËN is the brand harnessing Creativity and Technology for enhanced comfort, developing vehicles of strong styling that are comfortable, ingenious and easy to live with. Today, continuing this approach, CITROËN is delivering more design, more comfort and more useful technology, all at an affordable cost
This positioning is clearly illustrated at the Paris Motor Show. CITROËN is presenting a renewed range, including four new vehicles launched in the space of a year. Clear product positioning based on strong products:
CITROËN C4 CACTUS
Market launch under way – First presentation of a new body colour, Blue Lagoon
CITROËN has developed a real alternative to C-segment compact hatchbacks: the CITROËN C4
CACTUS. In this fiercely competitive segment with its apparently immutable design cues, the
CITROËN C4 CACTUS lays the foundations of a new automotive order, giving more value to what really matters for customers.
A unique design that is both functional and attractive, based on flowing lines with no aggressive edges.
These body lines are protected by strong graphic elements inspired by the world of crossovers. Among them, a feature exclusive to CITROËN: the Airbumps®. A signature that makes function an integral part of design. Inside the car, the design is chic and uncluttered, with stylish features that make a nod to the world of travel.
CITROËN is also, first and foremost, all about comfort. Alongside exceptional driveability and comfort, the CITROËN C4 CACTUS features sofa-style front seats for a more comfortable, user-friendly ambience. The roomy cabin frees up additional space with the Airbag In Roof: an innovation creating more space for the front passenger along with a functional storage compartment. On versions with the
ETG clutchless gearbox, the conventional gearlever is replaced by the “Easy Push” system, which is more intuitive and less intrusive. The CITROËN C4 CACTUS is both compact and spacious. With a wheelbase of 2.60m, it is as roomy as a CITROËN C4 but with a smaller footprint (just 4.16m long).
The objective is to keep only what really matters with technologies that are truly useful such as, for example, a fully digital touch drive interface, with all the functions grouped together as part of a natural layout. Keeping only those technologies that really make everyday life easier for customers, the
CITROËN C4 CACTUS features park assist, hill-start assist, the innovative Magic Wash function, the

/km for petrol. These record-beating values were obtained by using latest-generation small engines complying with the future
Euro 6 standard (PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines equipped with Stop & Start technology) and by making significant efforts to reduce weight: savings of 200 kg compared with the C4.
At the Paris Motor Show, the CITROËN C4 CACTUS:
is sporting a new body colour, BLUE LAGOON, bright and refreshing, reflecting the impact of C4 Cactus as a breath of fresh air in the automotive industry.

is taking the form of an ADVENTURE CONCEPT, presented at Geneva at the start of the year. An invitation to cross borders and meet new people as part of an optimistic, sharing approach. The spirit of adventure is underlined by the raised stance, all-terrain tyres, skid plates, additional headlights and roof box.

Lively and cheerful, the New CITROËN C1 sports SUV-inspired styling features that underline its character and protective nature. The CITROËN C1 URBAN RIDE concept invites you on a joyous, stress-free tour of the city, which is seen as a playground, just as it is for the urban outdoor activities that are becoming increasingly popular, such as urban trails and geocaching.
Adopting an upbeat approach to the city, the CITROËN C1 URBAN RIDE concept sports protective features that give it a go-anywhere look. Ground clearance is raised by 15 mm, and bumper fairings are provided front and rear, along with wheel arch trim elements. Armed with this protection, it is all set for an urban adventure. And for a more dynamic look, its tracks have been increased by 10 mm.
The CITROËN C1 URBAN RIDE concept can be seen in two versions: 5-door and Airscape convertible. The grey roof and fittings contrast with the bright Cheesecake Yellow body, to create a two- tone effect, contributing to the car’s cheerful, sassy looks. The door mirror housings, decals and special wheel hubs also underline the potential for personalisation. On the Airscape convertible version, where the soft top is also a personalisation feature, this concept has the biggest roof opening in its class, for an open air adventure that lets passengers admire the urban architecture.

The CITROËN C4 Picasso family is reporting strong market performance with continuously growing market share, making it No. 1 in its segment in Europe in first-half 2014. These results testify to the expertise and credibility of CITROËN on this market, with 150 , 000 orders taken since market launch just over a year ago.
With high-spec versions accounting for almost two-thirds of sales, buyers are clearly convinced by the strengths of the CITROËN C4 Picasso: pure and expressive design, dynamic lines and a unique light signature. Another winning feature is the driving comfort delivered by the EMP2 platform for a surefooted drive. The CITROËN C4 Picasso sets high standards in comfort for all the occupants, with its road manners, bright interior and acoustic comfort. The use of technology to enhance comfort is another strong point, with the 7-inch Touch Drive interface, 12-inch HD panoramic screen, a Lounge

CITROËN is seeking to draw upon its DNA, based on Creativity and Technology, to make life easier for customers. To choose meaningful technologies in order to develop solutions that promote more relaxed driving, while also cutting running costs and reducing environmental impact.
CITROËN C4 CACTUS AIRFLOW 2l
A world first in Paris
A laboratory for new ideas, the C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L concept is packed with advanced technologies and expertise illustrating CITROËN’s ambition and ability to innovate and respond to the issues facing the automotive industry, now and in the future, by developing a spacious, versatile, attractive and economical C-segment vehicle consuming less than
2l/100 km.
-
Faced with urban concentration, environmental requirements and economic pressure, customers today see fuel consumption as a key concern. True to its DNA, CITROËN is bringing its creativity and technology to a new challenge with the C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.
This project was conducted as part of the “2l/100 km vehicle” programme set up by the Plateforme de la Filière Automobile, an industry group
The CITROËN C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L concept is an attractive vehicle that consumes just 2l/100 km. A breakthrough performance achieved by:
optimised design with a 20% improvement in aerodynamics
lower rolling resistance (Tall&Narrow tyres)
efforts to use lighter parts and thus reduce overall vehicle weight by 100 kg
the implementation of Hybrid Air technology, which cuts fuel consumption by 30%.
Design to promote aerodynamic performance
The design of the C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L illustrates a continuous quest for aerodynamic efficiency, with the emphasis on two types of part:
Variable-geometry styling parts:
-
-
-
The new front bumper features three controlled air intakes
Mobile side deflectors have been added behind the quarter-window
The wheels feature mobile shutters activated and controlled by centrifugal force .

Fixed-geometry styling parts:
Tall&Narrow tyres for “ultra ultra” low rolling resistance and aerodynamic performance
An “Air Curtain in the front wheel arches
A longer spoiler with an air extractor added on the rear bumper
Conventional door mirrors replaced by rearview cameras
A streamlined vehicle substructure
LED low-consumption light modules at front and rear, replacing the existing lights.
Each part designed to improve aerodynamics is identified by specific colours and materials, including the colour orange, to clearly mark and underline the personality of this concept. These changes also r educe vehicle drag for an overall improvement of 20% in aerodynamic performance (and a CdA of
0.55 m
2
) compared with the production model.
C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L concept, lightweight construction and advanced technology
The C4 Cactus is already 200 kg lighter than the CITROËN C4, thanks to its optimised platform, high-performance materials and radical choices. The C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L concept shaves off a further 100 kg (including the drivetrain) through the use of efficient materials:
Aluminium, high-yield steels and composite materials for the body substructure, a combination demanding the development of new assembly processes
Carbon, aluminium, and composite materials on other vehicle parts
Translucent polycarbonate for the panoramic sunroof
Carbon fibres on the Airbumps
®
.
Hybrid Air technology
The C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L concept adopts the Hybrid Air drivetrain. Developed by the PSA
PEUGEOT CITROËN Group, this technology combines a 3-cylinder PureTech petrol engine with a compressed air energy storage unit, a hydraulic pump/motor unit and an automatic transmission with an epicyclic gear train.
The PureTech 82 engine, already available on the production model, has been optimised for this new hybrid drivetrain. Combining the PureTech 82 engine with HybridAir technology on the C4 Cactus
AIRFLOW 2L concept reduces fuel consumption by 30% and contributes significantly to achieving a vehicle of 2l/100 km while approaching the PureTech 110 in terms of dynamic performance.

The TECHNO ROOM: useful technology every day
Choosing meaningful technology does not mean piling technologies on top of each other, but keeping those that really make life easier for customers. Latest-generation engines combining performance with lower fuel consumption. Innovations that contribute to everyday peace of mind.
Technologies that are natural to use and truly useful. These technologies are presented in the
TECHNO ROOM at the Paris Motor Show:
“Engine” showcase:
DIESEL: BlueHDi engine family
BlueHDi engines benefit from innovative technology that respects the environment, with the
BlueHDi exhaust line comprising an oxidation catalytic converter, a Selective Catalytic Reduction
(SCR) system and an additive particulate filter. This technology treats exhaust gases while reducing
CO
2
emissions through the positioning of the SCR system upstream of the DPF. Using this technology, we are presenting at the Paris Motor Show a C3 BlueHDi 100 S&S emitting just 79g of CO
2
/km, and a C4 Picasso Blue HDi 120 S&S emitting 96g of CO
2
/km.
PETROL: New family of PureTech engines
New compact 3-cylinder petrol engines that are both efficient and economical, cutting CO
2 emissions by up to 25% with no trade-off in driving pleasure. With this new generation of engines, the C4 Cactus PureTech 82 S&S emits just 105g CO
2
/km, and the C4 PureTech 130 S&S just
114g CO
2
/km, for example.
“Innovations on the C4 Cactus” showcase:
Alongside the Airbumps@, a world exclusive for which nine product patents and one process patent have been filed, the CITROËN C4 Cactus features several major innovations. Among them, the
Airbag In Roof, which frees up space on the dashboard and increases storage space. Or the panoramic sunroof with advanced heat protection, which reduces vehicle weight by making a blind unnecessary. Or again, the Magic Wash function that increases safety by improving visibility while using less fluid.
“Greater Comfort and Peace of Mind” showcase:
Innovations that really make everyday life easier, including automatic lights, 360° vision, Park
Assist, a 7-inch Touch Drive interface, and the CITROËN Connect Box.

CITROËN’s ambition is to make the owner-car relationship easy, transparent and user-friendly. Looking beyond products and technologies, this is expressed through the customer experience in dealerships. In a world where the owner-car relationship can sometimes be stressful, consumers need to be reassured. CITROËN’s ambition is to deliver 360° well-being, through a simple, fluid customer experience focused on a single objective: to make CITROËN the automotive brand most recommended by its customers.
CITROËN & YOU
The Marque is reinventing the customer experience offered by its network with CITROËN & YOU.
CITROËN & YOU establishes new relations between the brand and its customers. Sustainable relations, based on a transparent, customer-focused approach, for greater trust and peace of mind, through several key commitments:
- An accident? A breakdown? A puncture? Our customers are never alone with 0800 05 24 24
(24/7)*.
Additional repairs? Never without the customer’s prior agreement, otherwise no charge will be made.
At CITROËN, a car leaving the workshop is a clean car.
Not satisfied? We call back our customers within 24 working hours.
Full transparency with CITROËN Advisor, a dedicated website on which CITROËN network customers can post reviews of their dealership.
CITROËN ADVISOR (www.citroen-advisor.fr) is a cornerstone of CITROËN & YOU. This bold initiative lets CITROËN network customers express themselves freely, in real time and as part of an interactive approach, on the quality of service provided by their CITROËN dealership, either following their purchase of a new car or when bringing their car into the workshop. A first for a vehicle manufacturer.
Pursuing an ambition of total transparency in relation to customers, CITROËN ADVISOR applies strict standards on review collection and customer authentication in order to ensure the reliability and full publication of reviews.
CITROËN believes that customers are the best brand ambassadors. In consequence, the brand developed this system to support its ambitions concerning the customer experience, through:
more transparency: anybody can consult the website and read the dealership reviews posted by customers. This transparency promotes trust and thus loyalty.
a more fluid, customer-focused approach: if a customer is dissatisfied, CITROËN Advisor instantly alerts the dealership concerned so that they can identify and process any issues promptly, and post their response on CITROËN Advisor, where it can be seen by everybody. In pursuit of a single objective: customer satisfaction.

SIMPLYDRIVE & FLEXIDRIVE SOLUTIONS: innovative purchasing solutions
Again with a view to making life easier for motorists, CITROËN is introducing two innovative purchasing solutions with the launch of the C4 Cactus. These two all-in flat-rate deals were inspired by the mobile phone industry. Two practical purchasing solutions to meet customer requirements in terms of budget management and transparent running costs:
-
SimplyDrive solution: customers configure their new vehicle based on a stable monthly flatrate, including comprehensive insurance and a range of products and services relating to financing, servicing and maintenance. In the case of a 36 month agreement (or mileage of under 45,000 km), for example, customers select their level of service out of a possible three, along with their trim level and engine. After three years of use, customers can either pay the outstanding amount to acquire their vehicle or they can return it. As a result, customers know exactly what they are going to pay for their car every month, as part of a transparent approach contributing to complete peace of mind.
-
FlexiDrive solution: aimed at motorists with low mileage (between 5,000 and 15,000 km per), this option is based on flat-rate deals reflecting actual mileage. Monthly payments are based on a fixed subscription for products and services, and depend on an insurance contract reflecting real mileage. As a result, motorists with low mileage can take advantage of an offering tailored to their real needs. Customers can revise their contracts every year to reflect real use. Spain is the first country to implement this solution.

CITROËN IN WTCC
CITROËN entered the FIA World Touring Car Championship in April of this year, demonstrating once more its ability to address new sporting challenges. Today, CITROËN C-Elysée WTCC is No. 1 in the
Manufacturers’ rankings. This championship has a strong following in Asia and Latin America and is an opportunity for CITROËN to build its international renown.
The CITROËN C-Elysée is a C-segment saloon aimed primarily at high-growth international markets such as Latin America, the Mediterranean Basin, China and Russia. It is enjoying real market success, with more than 120,000 orders in the space of a year.
Anchored to the tarmac on its 18-inch wheels, the CITROËN C-Elysée WTCC is, in a word, impressive. Underlining the radiator grille with its prominent double chevron, the bumper features an aerodynamic splitter. The broader front and rear wings lend a decidedly sporty look to the bodywork.
At the rear, the large spoiler ensures that the car hugs the track
Under the bonnet, the CITROËN C-Elysée WTCC is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged directinjection engine. With its large turbo flange, power output is now close to 380 bhp. The car comes with front-wheel drive transmission, controlled by a six-speed sequential gearbox.
Confirming CITROËN’s sporting renewal, the many podiums obtained since the start of the season underline the importance of motorsport as a high-tech laboratory, and reflect the brand’s ambitions to pursue international growth.
