China, propelled by the engine of its reform and opening-up to the outside world, is demonstrating, across the
whole country, vigorous vitality and unmatchable strength it has accumulated and gathered for centuries. With
that vitality and strength and its eyesight over the economic trend, China has become more and more important
in the economic development across Asia and even the whole world.
In the late years of the 20th century, China, with its vast land, abundant resources and diligent people, was
rapidly rising and was setting records, one after another, in world economy. Against that backdrop, Chan &
Chang Group set up its head office in Shanghai in 2002. It has established undertakings in Real Estate
development, Finance industry, Insurance industry, energy chemical industry, mine ventilation industry, etc. Chan
& Chang Group, by diversifying and actively increasing its investment in various industrial sectors, continues
growing side by side with China’s rapid and vigorous development.

2002年 发展重心移至上海，总部设立于金融中心陆家嘴金茂大厦，成立上海竞衡企业咨询有限公司
2003年 设立竞前国际贸易（上海）有限公司。
2004年 事业重心逐步扩展至房地产投资业，进驻大陆房地产市场，介入上海大虹桥开发区项目。
2005年 与洲际酒店管理集团签定酒店管理协议，规划上海西郊假日酒店项目，顺利展开地产业务新篇章；投资能源化工

2008年 整合集团能源、贸易产业，推进各案进展。星级酒店主体结构封顶，预计于2009年试运营。
2009年 集团旗下“上海西郊假日酒店”盛大开幕，创造台湾企业在大陆又一崭新篇章，同期进行的双子星写字楼主题结

近年來，我不斷鼓吹五個「非不可」：企業非賺錢不可；賺錢非成長不可；成長非創新不可；創新非人才不可；人才非
擁有品德不可。
從競衡集團二位創辦人（詹益森與張簡珍）的經營哲學及公司領導上，我們清晰地看到了他們的創業藍圖及塑造的公司
文化，正符合上面的五個「非不可」。
這二位共同創業的夫婦伙伴，分別擁有美國與日本著名大學的法學博士，更共同擁有創業家應有的才華、誠信、決斷與
熱情。因此他們在很短時間內就能在中國大陸表現出色，在所從事的產業，變成了一個受人重視的競衡集團。
他們所獻身的五個領域：能源、化工、國際貿易、地產開發、企業諮詢，都與今天中國經濟發展與人民生活息息相關。
這樣的投入，正是在尋求個人事業與社會進步的雙贏。

In recent years, I have been promoting the “Five Cannot Principles”
(1) Businesses cannot last without profit.
(2) Profits cannot accumulate without growth.
(3) Growth cannot take place without innovation.
(4) Innovation cannot thrive without talent.
(5) Talent cannot prosper without integrity.
Jonathan Chan and Jane Chang are the co-founders of the successful Chan & Chang Group. The Group embodies the “Five Cannot Principles” through their leadership, corporate culture, and
well-developed business blueprint.
The partners of this dynamic husband-wife team obtained their doctorates in law from well-known American and Japanese universities. Both are dedicated, decisive, and compassionate
entrepreneurs. Because of this unique blend of talent with integrity, Chan & Chang Group has catapulted to success in Mainland China’s competitive environment.
The Chan & Chang Group works in several arenas: energy, chemical products, trade, real estate development, and business consulting. These diverse industries, however, are all crucial for the
economic growth and social advancement of China in the coming years.
Every world-class company must scale two mountains to achieve true greatness: the first summit is reached through corporate profit, the second summit through social responsibility.
