Philosophy
• About Practice
•
•
Professional standards in practice are fundamental to the expectations of
practitioners training with us, in relation to their services, their colleagues, their
trainers as well as to their clients
Trainee practitioners are expected to adhere to the same standards of conduct
expected of any qualified provider: conveying respect and a non-judgemental
approach to all interactions with others
• About CBT
•
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a very rich and flexible form of psychotherapy.
Students will learn to apply (protocolised and idiosyncratic) CBT interventions
effectively to a range of client groups (with a focus on anxiety and depression
problems).
• About the ‘didactic/learning style’
•
Focus is on independent adult learning, the face2face teaching and supervision
needs to be seen as a starting point of student’s learning – the student is expected to
take responsibility for further research, reading and consolidation of skills
