Under the new programme, an estimated 7 500 lead researchers and a further 49 000 project team members will benefit from the funding. The majority of these team members (approx. 31 000) will be early-career researchers at doctoral and postdoctoral level . 16 DETTAGLIO STARTING GRANT CONSOLIDATOR GRANT ADVANCED GRANT 17 Italy at ERC A few examples of ERC projects in Italy Le cellule staminali: la nuova speranza per la cura delle malattie renali Project: Renal stem cells: possible role in kidney pathologies and as new therapeutic tools (RESCARF) PI: Paola Romagnani HI: Università degli Studi di Firenze Call: Starting Grant 2007 Funding: € 820.000 for 4 years La nanotecnologia e il futuro delle neuroscienze Project: Neuron Networking with Nano Bridges via the Synthesis and Integration of Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes (CARBONANOBRIDGE) PI: Maurizio Prato HI: Università degli studi di Trieste Call: Advanced Grant 2008 Funding: € 2.5 million for 5 years Dalla pizza alla cura dell’uomo, le abilità di RoDyMan Project: Robotic Dynamic Manipulation (RoDyMan) PI: Bruno Siciliano HI: Conzorzio C.R.E.A.T.E Call: Advanced Grant 2012 Funding: € 2.5 million for 5 years Verso tecnologie riproduttive più efficaci e gravidanze più sicure Project: Expression and Methylation Status of Genes Regulating Placental Angiogenesis in Normal, Cloned, IVF and Monoparental Sheep Foetuses (ANGIOPLACE) PI: Grazyna Ewa Ptak HI: Università degli Studi di Teramo Call: Starting Grant 2007 Funding: € 363.000 for 4 years
