• Customer was a worldwide manufacturer of construction/ building
materials

All US & Canadian locations were included in this upgrade
•
~300 Manufacturing facilities in North America
• Customer was upgrading their entire Oracle footprint to R12.1.2

Supply Chain – Manufacturing (WIP, BOM), Demand Planning, Shipping,
Inventory, MSCA, Order Management
• Customer was on a hybrid instance of Oracle R11.5.9 and R11.5.10
•
Order Management & Shipping were on R11.5.9
•
Inventory, BOM & WIP were on R11.5.10

live of Aug 2011

Document Sets had to be setup for Bill of Lading, Master Bill of Lading and
Pack Slip even though they were not being used at all
• Ship Confirm Backorder All

R12.1.2 checks for empty deliveries at ship confirm and will not proceed until
they are unassigned from/ closed on the associated Trip
•
Empty deliveries are created when backorder is done at pick confirm
• Upgraded Shipping Roles

General Tab> Configure Buttons and Regions functions were disabled

reset weight/ volume action engaged to update the flags at the trip,
stops, delivery(ies) and line(s)
