Follow up Survey Findings
All respondents were very satisfied with consultation
Most common reasons for consultation were:
• Feedback on grant prior to submission;
• Feedback on project after funding
• Identifying community partners
80% reported applying feedback to project; Respondent comments;
• “Included feedback in grant and got funding”
• “Changed interview questions so they were easier to understand”
• “Revamped advisory board; developed bylaws; recruited members”
• “ Invited senior center directors to serve as community partners.”

Formed to create a forum for community members, faculty,
and staff to discuss Bayview Research
At inaugural meeting participated in focus group to identify
community perceptions of Bayview research
- Noted that local residents willing to participate
- Did not understand why research was conducted
- How to access research opportunities or findings
After meeting, Council decided to focus on educating local
residents and patients about the research process
