DANSLOKAAL, hét talentontwikkelingsproject waarbij
jonge makers uitgenodigd worden nieuw werk te
ontwikkelen in samenwerking met de dansers van
Conny Janssen Danst.
re MEM b.e.r. (by escaping reality) onderzoekt het concept
van herinneringen. Opgedeeld in verschillende hoofdstukken,
onderzoekt elk hoofdstuk afzonderlijk de wijze waarop we
levensgebeurtenissen en de gevolgen daarvan verwerken.

Prologue
HAND TO HAND

Met een eigen
tactiek en
cadans vindt
tederheid
subtiel zijn
weg. Twee
dansers, hand
in hand. Een
eerlijk spel, in
een
afgebakende
ruimte. Ze
dansen een simpele dans, gevoelig en met precisie. De
beweging als een streling, van hand tot hand.
Een ruimte vol verzamelde herinneringen. De emotie die
losbarst wanneer we bewust besluiten een herinnering te
onthullen en die eindigt wanneer we beginnen herinneringen
te delen.
Chapter 1 - Dinner
Een herinnering, een familiediner. Beïnvloedt de wijze waarop
we ons gebeurtenissen herinneren wie we zijn en wat we
worden? Kunnen we zelf kiezen hoe we ons verleden
herinneren? Is het de herinnering zelf of de manier waarop
we ermee omgaan die ons maakt tot wat we zijn? Kunnen we
beslissen welke herinneringen vast te houden en welke los te
laten?

CONVERSATION
Shailesh Bahoran
Conversation is een choreografie die gestructureerd is als
een gesprek en stelt zich de volgende vragen: welke woorden
gebruik ik om een gesprek te openen, hoe stuur ik het verloop
van de conversatie en is het mogelijk te voorzien hoe het
gesprek zal eindigen: hoopvol en positief of komt er
onverwacht een kink in de kabel. De dansers zijn in gesprek,
hun bewegingen vliegen als woorden door de ruimte, er
vallen stiltes, er zijn onverwachte wendingen.

Conversation
is a choreography structured as a
conversation
in which the
following
questions
arise: which
words do I
use to open a
conversation,
how to give direction to a conversation, and is it possible to
predict how the conversation ends: hopeful and positive or
with an unexpected hitch. The dancers have a conversation,
their movements as words fly through space, there are
moments of silence and unexpected twists.

re MEM b.e.r. (by escaping reality) is a project that
investigates the concept of memories. It is divided into
different chapters, every chapter researches the way we
process the events that have happened in our lives and
the consequences of these events in a different way.
Prologue
A space where memories are collected. The emotional
burst that begins when we consciously decide to reveal a
memory and ends when we start sharing it.
Chapter 1 - Dinner
A memory, a family dinner. How the way we remember
events affects who we are and what we become. Can we
choose the way we remember our past? Is it memories
themselves or the way we deal with them to make us
what we are? Can we decide which memories we hold on
to and which we let go?
