Source WRITING Research: Brainstorm for possible ideas, both formally and informally. Then collect data to support your idea Source WRITING Organize: Organize your ideas into a list or outline. Decide on either a direct or indirect writing strategy (for receptive and unreceptive audiences) Source WRITING Compose: Begin writing your first draft, following your outline and evidence from research Source REVISING Revise: Double check your work for clarity, conciseness, conversational tone, and to improve readability Source REVISING Proofread: Verify that there are no spelling, grammar, punctuation or structural errors and look over the overall appearance Source REVISING Evaluate: Evaluate your work.
