Why do we have a Neighborhood Watch


There are 170,395 citizens in the
unincorporated part of the county (2009)
There are 119 Deputies including the Sheriff





9 administrators
14 detectives
13 Sergeants

12 K-9 and Traffic

Why do we have a Neighborhood Watch




That leaves 63 deputies for Patrol
24 hours so there are 21 deputies per shift
7 days a week but deputies only work 5
days a week, plus vacation and sick days
That gives us 9-12 deputies on at any one
time to answer the 95,000 calls for service
we receive annually

So the question is not
why we need
neighborhood watch
it is how can we live
without it !!!
