Before starting the on-line registration process, please,
refer to Micro-horário web site link:

to get more information about the courses, courses code
and allowed number of courses to attend
Read the instructions carefully
Follow what the green arrows indicate
1st step: at PUC-Rio´s website (www.puc-rio.br) click
on Micro-Horário.

2nd step: write the department code that you want to find disciplines
The next slide will show a table that may be filled in with the courses
you wish to attend.
Before filling in the table, please, pay attention to the following:
Important words
Código do Departamento: It is the first 3 letters of the department
name.
Ex. Departamento de Comunicação= COM
Departamentto de Administração: ADM
Disciplina = course code ( if you know the code just fill the discipline
code - ex. ADM 1452
Turma= section ( in general is formed by number and letters Ex. 1AC

If you only put the department code and click on “ BUSCAR” the
system will show you all the disciplines available in this department.
Código da Disciplina - Discipline Code and Discipline name
Turma 24A : Discipline Section ( it means that the classe 24A will
be on Monday (SEG) and Wednesday (QUA) from 3:00- 17:00h,
Destino: Destiny ( The department that this discipline is destined to).
CCI stands for International Students. But you can choose others
destiny too,
Vagas: Places available – Disciplines with Destino CCI and QQC
are destined to International students. Students can try to take
classes with other destinos but These requests will need to be
analysed.
Discipline sílabas: EMENTA

After you access the micro-horário:
Check the courses you wish to attend as well as the
schedules. The courses section, for instance, indicates the
time schedule of the specific class. Thus, it is important to
complete the section because the system will not allow
registration at courses at the same hour.
There is a list of preferred courses with limited number of
places reserved for international students. Check at our site
the link with names of the disciplines.
In the micro-horário these reserved places are in disciplines
with “destino” (destiny) CCI, QQC, but you can try all the
other disciplines destiny too.
Prepare your study plan carefully. Changes can be made
during the add-drop period according to the availability of
places (second week of classes).
Registration in Portuguese for Foreigners course is
MANDATORY.

can find more information about the registration: getting the
courses available, number of courses allowed, how to use
the course codes, etc)
After you have checked all classes and disciplines and have
taken your Portuguese Placement test and received the
result with your Portuguese level you may start your
Registration process. To start it, please, refer to
http://www.puc-rio.br/ and click on “alunos” to get in on
PUC on-line system.
