Deuteronomy, is
derived from the Greek
translation of the
Hebrew phrase,
meaning "the second
law."

So that the people, their children and their
grandchildren may fear the Lord as long as
they live by keeping all His decrees and
commands so they may enjoy a long life.

The theme is that God provides and protects
us even though we are sinners. We reject His
love and turn away from Him even though He
is good. We sin.
