Love is still
a verb!
part 2
All are Welcome
Let us build a house where love can dwell
and all can safely live,
A place where saints and children
tell how hearts learn to forgive.
Built of hopes and dreams and visions ,
Rock of faith and vault of grace,
Here the love of Christ shall end divisions:
all are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place
All are Welcome
Let us build a house where prophets speak,
and words are strong and true,
Where all God’s children dare to seek
To dream God’s reign a new.
Here the cross shall stand as witness
and as symbol of God’s grace:
Here as one we claim the faith of Jesus:
all are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place.
Love never fails
“I give you a new commandment,
that you love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
you also should love one another.
By this everyone will know
that you are my disciples…”
John 13:34
Do not waste time bothering whether
you love your neighbor; act as if you did.
As soon as we do this we find one of the
great secrets. When you are behaving as
if you loved someone, you will presently
come to love him."
-C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself,
your neighbor is the holiest object
presented to your senses.“
C.S. Lewis,
The Weight of Glory
"Love is the gift of self.
It means emptying oneself
to reach out to others.
In a certain sense,
It means forgetting oneself
for the good of others."
Pope John Paul II
