• Charge the hydrogen Fuel Cell following instructions!
– This can take as long as 45min-1hour
• When fuel cell charged, put on the VEX Solar Fuel Cell Car
– Complete the rest of activity and answer all conclusion questions
• Copy question/short answer OR write complete sentence that re-states the
question
• Every team member is responsible for having all questions/data recorded in
their own engineering notebook!
– Disassemble your car and put all pieces back in their CORRECT bins
• Carefully disassemble your SMET device

• Receive an engineering notebook
– Write your name on the front cover
– A table of contents is optional, if you want to make one leave the first 3
pages empty. If not creating one begin your notebook on page 1
• Log-in to the computer and navigate to my website:

– Get familiar with the site and where stuff is (particularly in the POE
section)
– The sub will tell you the password to the website (or its on the
whiteboard)
– Navigate to the POE Unit 1 page:
• Open the powerpoint called Careers in Engineering and Engineering
Technology
– Take notes in engineering notebooks
• Open the powerpoints Simple Machines-Lever, Wheel and Axle, and Pulleys
and then Simple Machines-Inclined Plane, Wedge, and Screw
– Take notes in engineering notebooks
