• Owl City is an American synthpop musical project
by Adam Young.
• Young started out making music in his basement
in his hometown of Owatonna, Minnesota.
• Adam Young was born on May 7, 1986.
• Owl City gained popularity from the 2009 album
Ocean Eyes, which spawned the hit single
“Fireflies".

About This Song…
• It's about this person who dreams of fireflies while
he's sleeping. He likes to think that nighttime lasts
for a long time, but his dreams always seem to end
too soon. He'd rather be asleep dreaming about
them than live in reality. He just describes the things
that he and the fireflies do together. He starts to cry
when he has to wake up, but he's consoled knowing
that he might have the dream again.
