Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God was something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges, He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on the cross. But the right attitude will empower us to deal with setbacks in a more profitable way. ATTITUDE I am responsible for my attitude toward others They are responsible for their attitude toward me. If I could just serve in a different place, I’d be happier. 2. If I just knew that person, I’d be satisfied. 3. If things were different here, I would be OK. 4. If I would not have done that, I’d feel better about myself. ATTITUDE My attitude needs continual adjustment. Indicators for Attitude Adjustments… I have not had enough time with God or myself. My family notices and tells me about my attitude My relationship with co-workers becomes strained. My view of people begins to lower. My perspective on life becomes cynical.
