Suitable for every victim
Restorative Justice….
• RJ is a process which brings together those harmed by crime,
and those responsible for the harm, into communication,
enabling everyone affected by an incident to play a part in
repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward (Ministry
of Justice 2014)
• RJ provides opportunities for victims to be heard
• It helps victims ‘cope’ and ‘recover’
• It enables offenders to face the consequences of their actions
and see the impact of their offending on victims
• It provides an opportunity to reduce re offending in the future
