Identifier System
The RITS Educator System is accessed via a secure,
public internet connection and requires a unique User ID
and password
Visit the Student-Educator Identifier Website to access
the correct respondent forms. Click on Passwords to
locate the respondent forms.

Educator Search
Purpose: The Educator Search page allows
you to locate a single educator or group of
educators in the EDIS.
Search for every educator
Minimizes case management
Ensures the best match for educator records
Minimizes the possibilities of creating a duplicate
record
Searching for an EDID number
You search for an educator by clicking on Educator
Search/Update
Searching for an EDID cont.
Always do a broad search when doing your initial search. By doing a
broad search you will capture every variation of spelling on the name. If
we were searching for employee Richard Gonzalez. You would enter Gon
in the last name field and R in the first name field. This will return many
results; however you will not be misinformed if the spelling of the last name
is slightly different or if the first name was entered as a nick name such as
Rick.
Searching for an EDID cont.
If you do not find your employee with the search
criteria that you have entered, please try a different
variation on the information until you have exhausted
all variations.
Educator Search Results
Choose your educator by clicking on the last name
(I will choose row 9)
View Educator Detail Screen
Verify that all information is correct, if everything is correct click
update and the system will update to your district.
If you are a view only user you will not be able to update.

If you find an error you click in the field that needs to be
corrected, make the correction, click update.
You must click update after each field is changed.

If you find more than one field that needs to be
corrected, make the correction in that field, click
update. You must change one field at a time clicking
update after each field is changed.

Once you have completed the update on your employee you
will get the message below.
