The weighting can be found at the polyU website (i.e. Subject with highest weighting. •Students should put emphasis on a particular subject in order to increase your admission scores. •In case of same admission scores, extra electives will be taken into account as the tie-breaker. However, since the chance of getting admission scores is higher, so students should also put effort on other electives. •It seems that PolyU place more emphasis on core, weighting is 7, or 10. UST - At least 2Xs - The weighting of M1/M2 is higher in science and engineer more than SBM and SHSS. - To maximize your chance of study in UST, English is more important than the other subjects in general. E.g.
