Not doing CM has always been a recipe for disaster and that is why there are various industry CM standards, CM guidelines, Quality Assurance initiatives, Federal Regulations that address the need for CM type processes. CMPIC provides CM certification courses and CM consulting services. Steve was formerly Vice President of the Institute of Configuration Management. Steve is also a former President of the Association of Configuration and Data Management (ACDM) and is currently on ACDM's Board of Governors. He is also a member of TechAmerica G33 committee (authors of ANSI/EIA-649) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). CM Experience He has been a contractor CM analyst, a government CM specialist and a commercial CM manager. He also has seventeen years as a CM educator, assessor and consultant.
