The ENERGY STAR Label, and 2. The temporary and permanent labels of the agency that certified the performance values, and 3. Any label or mark required by the agency that certified the durability of the Insulating Glass Unit (IGU). Things to Remember When Labelling • Label with zones according to October 1st specification • Include an NRCan Reference Number, Model Code or NFRC Certification Number • Always show the correct zone of qualification. For example, it is not correct to show qualification to Zones AB even though the model qualifies for Zones ABC • For NFRC certified windows and sliding glass doors, put the correct ER value in the ENERGY STAR portion of the label • Tell your customers to keep their temporary labels • READ the guidelines Submitting Model Information • • • • • • Enter the date of submission Complete the manufacturer information Enter complete NFRC certification number Enter a deletion date for models to archive Create model codes (no duplicates) Enter all required information (yellow highlighting) • Enter the glazing cavity width in mm and not inches Product Verification • NRCan is developing a strategy to independently verify product performance in 2011 • Scope of verification subject to funding available • Verification may include ‘blind’ testing and evaluation Phase 2 Considerations • 2008 Enermodal Report – Lower levels by one zone again for Phase 2 • • • • Review U-factor cap and minimum ER values Lower air leakage maximum?
