Liquid sculpture Brief background Martin Waugh was born in boulder Colorado . From a young age, Waugh had been raised to learn how to take things apart and put them back together. He had studied to become a math teacher and went to college in Portland Oregon. He fell in love with the scenery and never left. He later graduated with a degree in physics. After he graduated, he took up photography and computer programming. Photography is more of a hobby for Waugh, where programming is how he mainly makes a living. What dose Martin Waugh Photograph? -Waugh owns a small photography business called “liquid sculpture”. -He specializes in high speed images of water, paint and dye drops. -He alters surface tension with soap and glycerin which make different sized and shaped drops. As a hobby Waugh takes portraits of his family and two children. - What Are His Photographic Beliefs? Waugh has an interesting credo. He believes that nature should take its course, and leaves the drop shape and size to chance. Unlike many Photographers, Waugh doesn’t use Photoshop to enhance his photos.
