Planning is vital to the success of your campus. If a child’s basic needs are not met he or she cannot learn No matter what the persons title is on your campus, he or she must have a heart for children and people in general Children will do exactly what you expect them to do. Set the bar high! Our district has adopted Dennis Mitchell’s “The Do’s and Don’ts of Discipline.” Discipline Plan and Keys to Success One person in charge of discipline on the campus Focused- you must have a plan in order to know where the ship is headed Firm – Expectations must be clear and consistent throughout the entire school. Fair – all students have to be treated the same . Consistency across all levels of discipline is possibly the most important of all factors Follow Through – Stick to the plan. Once a punishment has been handed out it must be administered.
