PESTIT JAMBOREELLA
The International Service Team
- The 23rd World Scout Jamboree requires an International Service
Team (IST) consisting of about 6,000 members.
- Should be able to communicate in English.
- An IST member will be part of a team of volunteers to ensure the
success of the Jamboree.
- Should be ready to perform any tasks necessary for the Jamboree.

Please note that multiple roles can not be
chosen from the same departments.”
Aikataulu
- Marraskuun aikana kaikille suomalaisille ISTeille lähetetään
sähköpostitse lomake jonka kautta saa ilmoittaa toiveensa.
- Toiveet ovat sitovia! Niitä ei muuteta jälkikäteen, joten kannattaa pohtia
tarkkaan ennen kuin ilmoittaa toiveensa.
- Suomen joukkue lähettää toiveet eteenpäin Japaniin jo ennen joulua.
- Japanin organisaatio pyrkii tiedottamaan pesteistä touko-kesäkuussa
2015.

Pestit Suomen joukkueessa
- Saunatonttuja Suomen joukkueen saunaan
- Mahdollisesti käsityötaitoisille tarvetta Suomi-ohjelmaan mikäli
tämä toteutetaan (riippuu Japanin jamboreeorganisaatiosta)
- Oheismatkaoppaita, eli OMOja. Varsinaisen pestin ohella mikäli
osallistuu oheismatkalle.
J-01-00 Contingents Support
Contingents Support provides support for contingents. Those who have rich experience in
Scouting and ability in communicating in English and French, or other languages are most
welcome.

J-01-01 Contingent Liaison Section (SPECIALIST)
J-01-02 Simultaneous Translation/Interpretation (SPECIALIST)
J-02-00 Sub Camps
Sub Camps department is responsible for providing safe camping environment for
participants, and running of Sub Camp programme. Sub Camps department is also
responsible for supporting participants, solving problems, coordinating Sub Camp
Staff (some are unit leaders from the contingents). In addition, each Sub Camp
needs to support the operation of Hubs.
J-03-00 Human Resources
Human Resources department is responsible for management and welfare of all
Jamboree teams. Particularly important task is recruiting members of International
Service Team (IST), allocating them to each department, providing camping space
and IST programmes. Strong communication skill is an advantage in this department.
J-04-00 Guest Service
Guest Service department is responsible for providing services for Guest including
Scout Guest, Special Guest and Day Visitors, and organizing contingent receptions.
J-05-00 Marketing and
Communication
Marketing and Communication department is responsible for marketing and
communication of the Jamboree, including Website, Media Centre, Jamboree News,
and Young Correspondent Programme.
J-06-00 Information and
Communication Technologies
(ICT)
ICT department is responsible for building a computer network in the Jamboree site, providing
the Internet, telephone and computer service, and operating Welcome Centre. Computer
related skills would be an advantage in this department.
J-07-00 Onsite Programme
Onsite programme department is responsible for planning and delivery of the
programmes in the Jamboree site. There are programmes such as:

J-07-05 Faith & Beliefs Zone
J-07-0X Contingent Programmes (Suomi-ohjelma jos toteutuu)
J-08-00 Off Site Programme
Off Site Department is responsible for planning and delivery of the offsite
programmes, which are Community module, Nature module and Water module.
J-09-00 Hiroshima Peace
Programme
Hiroshima Peace Programme department is responsible for coordinating Hiroshima
Peace Programme and attendance of representative Scouts at Hiroshima Peace
Memorial Service.
J-10-00 Ceremonies
Ceremonies department is responsible for running ceremonies.
J-11-00 Safety
Safety department is responsible for providing safe environment for all participants including
the guests and volunteers to make the most of out of the Jamboree experience.

J-11-01 Medical Professionals (SPECIALIST)
J-12-00 Site Management
Site Management department is responsible for management of onsite facilities
(constructions, toilet, shower facility, water, sewage, communication, road etc.),
providing items and materials for departments, and ensure that Jamboree is
planned and managed in safe and comfortable way.
J-13-00 Transport
Transport department is responsible for the transportation of people and items of
the Jamboree.
J-14-00 Food and Trading
Food and Trading department is responsible for supply of food for participating
Scouts and Leaders at Sub Camps, IST and CMT members at Staff Restaurant
including the days before and after the Jamboree, arranging catering for the
receptions as well as all the merchandising in the Jamboree.
