Alliteration
• The repetition of beginning consonant
sounds in neighboring workd
• Tongue twister are an extreme example
She sells sea shells down by the sea shore

Alliteration Examples

Consonance
• Consonance- the repetition of middle or
consonant sounds in neighboring words
Doug ate twelve cakes and now seems to
have a stomach issues.
Assonance
• The repetition of vowel sounds in
neighboring words
Ted and Katie went to see a tree being
planted on the first day of spring.
