Type of Miracle • c) Miracles of Exorcism: Jesus casts out demons (or the devil) from an individual • Shows: Jesus is stronger than all evil and is able to heal it • Example: Jesus and the Man with Demons at Gadara (Luke 8: 26-39) 2. Type of Miracle • d) Miracles where Jesus raises people from the dead: • Shows: Power of God is stronger than death • Example: Jesus and Jairus’ Daughter (Luke 8:40-42, 49-56) 3. Structure. • Setting: a description of the person and the illness, and/or the place where the miracle takes place • Action: the cure is performed or the miracle takes place • Acclamation: people attest to the cure or miracle and praise God or plot against Jesus. 4.
