JOGO DO PREGO – NAIL GAME

NAIL GAME

 On a wood log, nails are fixed (as many as the number of players).

Each person can only hit his/her nail and in a single blow.

The hammer goes from player to player until one of them manages to hammer his/her nail down completely.

PIÃO – SPINNING TOP

 Roll up the string around the top and throw it to the floor;

 Try to knock over the other players tops;

 The person whose top is spinning in the end is the winner.

JOGO DAS LATAS – CAN GAME

CAN GAME

 You place the cans on top of each other (forming a pyramid).

Each player gets 3 balls to try and knock down as many cans as possible.

The winner is the one who takes down the biggest number of cans after the 3 throws.

BERLINDES - MARBLES

BERLINDES – MARBLES

Draw a circle in the ground and three holes inside;

Take turns shooting your marble from outside the ring into each hole. After succeding, you can now try to eliminate your parteners;

Use the shooters (bigger marbles) to knock out or drive other marbles out of the ring.

Each participant places himself inside a sack, grabbing it on each side of the waist;

At the signal, the players jump forward from the starting point toward a finnish line;

 The first person to cross the finish line is the winner.

 The aim of this sport is to knock down a pin or a marker.

ANDAS - STILTS

The equipment needed is 2 pieces of wooden stilt with a stepladder, about 30 cm from the ground;

The aim of this sport is to walk on stilt from the starting line to a finish line.

CORRIDA A TRÊS PÉS – THREE LEGGED RACE

THREE LEGGED RACE

 It envolves2 participants attempting to complete a short sprint with the left leg on the runner strapped to the right leg of another runner. The object is for the partners to run together without failing over, and beat the others contestants to the finish line.

POTATO / EGG RACE

PATATO OR EGG RACE

 Each participant has a potato or na egg placed on a spoon;

 They race carrying the spoon in their mouth/hands without drpping anything.

MACACA - HOPSCOTCH

HOPSCOTCH

 Children draw grids on the sidewalk or on the ground and then jump or hop from one end of the grid to the other.

JOGO DAS ARGOLAS – RING TOSS GAME

RING TOSS GAME

 At a distance 4 rings are tossed to loop around a stick. Each stick has a number

(1,2,3,4 or 5). The one in the middle has the highest point. The person who scores the most points wins.

JOGO DO PAU – PORTUGUESE STICK FENCING

 The country has an ancient martial art known as "Jogo do Pau"

(Portuguese Stick Fencing), used for self-protection and for duels between young men in disputes over young women. Having its origin in the

Middle Ages, Jogo do Pau uses wooden staves as a combat weapon.
