From Barrenness to Multiplication

Change is Our Friend

God’s Intention

1. And God blessed them and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth

(Genesis 1:28)

– Every thing reproduces after its own kind

– Seedtime and harvest-without seed there can be no harvest

– Be fruitful and multiply; replenish and dominate

– Fruitfulness is a covenant agreement between God and man–

Balaam said, “I received a commandment to bless, and he has blessed and I cannot reverse it (Numbers 23:19-20)

– Barrenness is a direct assault, confrontation, and desecration of the law of Genesis

Integrity of God

1. God says, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” (Psalms 89: 34)

2. God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man that He should repent; hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless, and I cannot reverse it. (Numbers 23:19-20)

3. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us- for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”-in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles. (Galatians 3-13-14; Genesis 24:1;

Genesis 15: 1-3; Genesis 17:6-8; Genesis 26:1-14)

Barrenness

1. The spirit of barrenness seeks to make God look like a liar before humanity. It challenges the first prophetic word that God spoke over man.

2. This a spirit of stagnation and limitation. It wants you to remain where you are-no progress. It hates enlargement and growth.

3. You don’t see any return on anything you do.

4. It does not want to believe that God’s disposition is to bless you. He wants to bless His people.

5. Barrenness is a mentality or mindset that restricts what heaven wants to send your way.
