What aim: enhancing citizens’ ownership and usage of
their rights as European citizens by promoting and
increasing knowledge on four EU level participation tools:





European elections,
petitioning to the European Parliament,
complaining to the European Ombudsman
the European Citizens Initiative.
What objectives:
 increasing know-how on the usage and usability of four EU level
participation tools
 capacitating 30 CSOs from Romania and Hungary in using EU
level participation tools
 promoting grassroots participation in EU policies

How we address the objectives:
◦ Mapping the usage of 4 EU participation tools
◦ Launching the research report
◦ Go to vote campaigns for EU elections in Hungary and
Romania
◦ International Conference in Romania
◦ Citizen Participation University in Hungary
◦ Training and coaching CSOs in Romania and Hungary
◦ Online ECI Campaign
◦ Citizens Assemblies
◦ Study visit (Brussels, Belgium)
