Bagno di Romagna, the capital of cycling.
The World Sprint Championship and the Italian Sprint Championship for
Journalists will be held in the spa town of Romagna Apennines.
On January the 1st the registrations to the 2015 edition of the Gran Fondo
Del Capitano have been officially opened.
The race will be held on next June 7th .
The tradional event , dedicated to cyclists renews also this year celebrating
its 6th edition.
A Sunday between sport, nature and hospitality ,cycling through hermitages
and mules on a path full of history.
As usual , the event will be part of the Italian Championship ( ACSI ) and of
the Circuit Romagna Challenge.
This year during the competition there will be also the single round of the
World Sprint Championship for Journalists and the Italian Straight-lined
Championship for Journalists.
Therefore, an event in the event, that will catalyze the attention of keens for
several days.
The Gran Fondo del Capitano was born on the initiative of the “Le Strade del
Benessere” which aimed to provide support to the territory of the high valley
of Savio River, highlighting the excellences, the typical products and
accommodation facilities.
As usual, it will consist of two routes: the first “Gran Fondo” 131 km and the
second “Medio Fondo” 92 km.
For these two major events, one of world-class, the organizers are hoping to
reach at least the number of 1300 participants, thanks to the chance to spend
a day as a guest in the hotels of the area.
This edition will be characterized by the presence of many foreign journalists
coming from Europe, Usa, Australia, New Zeland,Japan and other countries.
From Friday evening there will be attractive events for tourists and keens on
cycling in Romagna and in the nearby Tuscany.
Saturday, June 6th , the race of World Sprint, a race over a distance of 300
meters in straight stretch.
Sunday, June 7th , the epilogue: the Gran Fondo and the Medio Fondo and
the Italian Championship for Journalists.
