Which Stethoscope to Choose ?





Cardiology: Superior acoustics. Classic models have single channel
in tubing. Cardiology models have dual channels in tubing, one to each
ear for “stereo” sound. Scale of 1 -10, Master Cardiology rated 10, Cardiology III
rated 9. Only slightly better acoustics with Master model, with smaller “deadspace”
in the chestpiece.
 Which Cardiology Model? Cardiology III. Master Cardiology has single
 sided chestpiece only allowing use of Tunable Diaphragm as explained on Slide #
7.
 1) Is most widely used by physicians and most widely chosen by students.
 2) Cardiology III has both bell and diaphragm sides for versatility.
 3) Easier to learn High and Low frequencies as requested by professors.
 4) Bell side can be converted for Pediatric assessments by utilizing the

tunable diaphragm.
 5) More versatile and economical.
