National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational/Texas Team • Rotates every two years to a new host state • 9 teams of 4 participants represent Texas at the annual Invitational • Team members selected by discipline subcommittees within Texas 4-H Shooting Sports Training Team • Applications due annually in August Ambassador Program • Represent 4-H and specifically 4-H Shooting Sports for public relations purposes at special events such as donor/supporter functions and with the general public, peer groups, 4-H groups, community service groups, schools and media contacts. • Serve as spokespersons for the 4-H Shooting Sports program, helping to make 4-H Shooting Sports programs more visible. • The Ambassadors further develop their skills in leadership, public presentation, citizenship, community service, public relations and team building. • Represent the four Extension regions of Texas, five per region • Volunteer lead – one overall director and four regional directors • Applications for the Texas 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors are due annually at the end of August.
