Installation guidelines for Marlon CS rooflights
into fibre cement roof

Fix fibre cement sheets up to bottom and side of rooflight

Temporarily position fibre cement sheet above rooflight position

Temporarily position Marlon CS rooflight in position, overlapping fibre cement sheet at both ends.

Pilot drill rooflight and mark cement profile at fixing positions, fixing centres to align correctly with the
purlin positions.
(alternatively if purlin positions are accurate the Marlon CS rooflight can be pre-drilled to suit purlin
positions before laying into position)

Remove Marlon CS rooflight
Drill 12 mm diameter holes in Marlon CS rooflight which allow for thermal expansion.
Drill fibre cement sheets and remove dust.
Apply foam fillers to purlins.
Apply Sealing tape to end and side of rooflight position immediately either side of the fixing holes.
(Sealing tape to be 6 mm diameter cross linked butyl.)

Position pre-drilled Marlon CS rooflight.

Apply sealing tape to side and top end of Marlon CS rooflight.

Place pre-drilled fibre cement sheet above rooflight.

Insert primary fixings.

Insert side stitchers.

Pre-drill side stitching holes in fibre cement sheet adjacent to rooflight.
Before overlapping the side of the Marlon CS rooflight remove dust.
Place and fix the fibre cement sheet.

Drill Marlon CS rooflight for remaining side lap stitchers through pre-drilled holes in the fibre cement
sheet.
Insert grommet fixings.
