• These were the first
women he was accused
of killing then DNA of
20 more women were
found.
• He was mad because he
only got 49 people
– His goal was 50
What?
• Pickton would have sex
with women and then
kill them
– Most of the women
were prostitutes and
drug addicts
• He would feed the
women to his pigs,
friends, and guests at
his house
• He also sold it to
people in Canada, and
authorities had to have
a recall on the meat.
When and where?
• 1982-2002 on a pig farm in Canada
• He would pick up girls form the Eastside of
Vancouver.
Why?
• There are no claims of why he did commit
these murders, however he was known for
doing drugs.
How did he get caught?
• In 1997 Robert was harassing a prostitute.
• Later they did suspect him for murdering the
missing women since they too were prostitutes,
however they didn’t have any good evidence.
• He claimed the reason he was caught was due to
the fact he was getting sloppy.
• One woman escaped and that’s what officially
allowed investigators to arrest and question
him.
What disorder does he have?
• Robert Pickton didn’t have any mental
illnesses.
• His IQ was tested his score was 75
– Which is the low end of average
– During his trial he tried to claim he was close to
mental retardation and that he had no idea of
what he was doing.
Sentence
• He was convicted of 2nd degree murder for
the six women.
• Then, Robert was sentenced to life in prison
