Som studentrepresentant i styret vil jeg prioritere at NTNU skal satse
mer der vi i dag er gode; for å møte morgendagens utfordringer holder det ikke med å være
gode, vi må tørre å bli best. Lykkes vi med å bli best på noen områder vil dette også styrke resten
av fagmiljøene. Det er viktig med en god dialog mellom ansatte, eksterne aktører og studentene,
jeg ønsker å bidra til dette blant annet med erfaringer fra tidligere verv og ved lytte aktivt til
innspill fra studentene. Blir jeg valgt lover jeg å holde kontakten med ordinære studenter på
campus1.
Samlokalisering og samarbeid, ny campusplan og tettere samarbeid på næringsliv!
Siden oppretelsen i 1996 har NTNU vært et universitet delt på ulike campus. Når spørsmål om
campusplan kommer opp i styret skal jeg kjempe for et by-integrert campus, med hovedtyngde i
aksen Gløshaugen-Øya. For NTNUs studenter er dette den beste løsningen. En løsning som også
sikre Trondheims posisjon som landets ubestridte kunnskaps- og teknologihovedstad.
Per dags dato er NTNU blant de fremste universitetene i verden på samarbeid med næringsliv, vi
skal bli best.2 NTNU må fortsette, og øke det tette samarbeidet med SINTEF og satse enda
sterkere på samarbeid med næringsliv innen forskning og utdanning.
- Felles by-integrert campus med utgangspunkt i dagens campus på Øya og Gløshaugen. Innen
2020.
- NTNU må satse enda tettere med næringsliv og eksterne parter for innen 2015 bli verdens
beste universitet på samarbeid med næringsliv, og toppe UIC-rankingen.
Forskning og innovasjon, et skapende NTNU
Fra et samfunnsøkonomisk perspektiv er det klart behovet for et sterkt og utadvendt
universitet; et skapende universitet. For å løse morgendagens problemer holder det ikke med
bare med gode kandidater. Innovasjon og forskning er essensielt for fremtidas arbeids- og
næringsliv. Arbeidsplasser eksisterer ikke, noen må skape dem! Alle studenter må oppleve fra
første dag at forskning er en del av hverdagene på NTNU som angår dem. Ordningen med egne
forskerlinjer, som finnes på medisinstudiet, må bli et tilbud for studenter på flere linjer.
Satsingen på NTNU Technology Transfer og innovasjon videreføres minst på dagens nivå.
Entreprenørskap generelt, må løftes som karrierevei. Fokuset på sosialt entreprenørskap og
entreprenørskap i humaniora og samfunnsvitenskap må prioriteres. Alle studenter på NTNU
skal ha et tilbud om fagtilpasset kurs i entreprenørskap innen 2016.
- Forskerlinje som tilbud på flere studieprogram; minst tre nye linjer innen utgangen av 2014
- Opprette et nærings- og entreprenørskapssenter for studenter fra humaniora og
samfunnsvitenskap innen utgangen av 2014.

Study: Mas ter in Political Science

As a student repres entative at the board, I wish to emphasize that NTNU have to inves t in areas where we
are good today. To meet the challenges of tomorrow it is not enough to be good, we mus t dare to be the
best in selected areas. If we succeed, this will also enhance the res t of the research communi ty at the
university. I want also to hi ghlight the dialogue between employees, external representatives and
students. I want to use my experiences from student politics and listen to input from you, the students. If
elected I will keep a low threshold for any student to contact me.
Priority nr.1 New campus plan and closer cooperation with the industry
Since 1996, NTNU has been a university, however divided on various university campus. The ques tions
about the campus pl an will be at the agenda for the board in this period, and I will work for a new city
integrated campus built around the current infrastructure at Gløshaugen and Øya. For NTNU s tudents this
is the best solution, which will ensure Trondheim’s position as the undisputed knowledge and technology
capitol of Norway for the years to come.
- A unified city integrated campus bas ed on the current campuses on Øya and Gløshaugen, before 2020.
Meanwhile NTNU must also focus more on business and contact wi th external interests and organizations.
Currently, NTNU is among the l eadi ng universiti es in the world in collaboration with industry. We should
aim to be the best.
- NTNU mus t focus even more closely with the industry and external parties (like SINTEF). NTNU should
aim to be the world's bes t university in partnership with industry, and top the UIC rankings, by 2015.
Priority nr. 2 Research and innovation, a creative NTNU
From an economic perspective, it is a clear need for a strong, outward-looking university. To solve
tomorrow’s problems it is not enough to have good candidates. Innovation and res earch are two key
factors for the future employment and economic development of Norway. All students need to experi ence
from the first day, that research is a part of ev eryday life at NTNU and affects them. Programs like the
student res earch program at the faculty of medicine must be offered to students of multi ple disciplines.
NTNU must focus on innov ation. The commitment to the NTNU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) must
continue at leas t at current lev els. Entrepreneurship mus t become a possible career path for students at
all disciplines; particularly there needs to be a strong emphasis on social entrepreneurship and business
development in humanities and social sciences. All students at NTNU should have the possibility to take
courses in entrepreneurship adjusted to fit their field of study by 2016.
- Student research programs in several disciplines, at least three new programs by the end of 2014.
- Create a business and entrepreneurshi p center for s tudents of humani ties and social sciences by the end
of 2014.
