GAGA MED KEREN ROSENBURG
Each day we will be having a gaga dancer’s class followed by a movement & choreographic research.
About Gaga/dancers
classes are open to professional dancers or advanced dance students ages 16+. These classes last for
an hour and fifteen minutes and are taught by dancers who have worked closely with Ohad Naharin.
Gaga/dancers classes employ the specific vocabulary and skills that are part and parcel of a dancer’s
knowledge.
About the workshop
In the process of the research we will explore the connection between creativity and creation through
the eyes of the gaga language. Getting deeper with understanding of what turns us on as movers,
connecting to our world of fantasy and imagination, getting in touch with our vulnerability /rawness/
groove/ virtuosity and our passion to move. Through the use of phrasing, dynamics, musicality and
composition, we will be transforming our imagery and sensations into a communicative physicality in
space. Investigating the big question of¨How can we expose who we are and what are we about?¨
At the end of the workshop there will be an open presentation where we will share and expose the
week process. *Please note that the open gaga/dancers classes are a part of the workshop.
Keren Rosenburg utexaminerades från Kibbutz Dance Company (KCDC) 2003 och arbetade efter det i flera
uppmärksammade Israel-baserade kompanier som t.ex. Fresco, Ido Tadmor Dance Company, och Tami. 2008 hon
flyttade till Holland och började där arbetade både som koreograf och dansare. Hon samarbetar då gärna med
konstnärer från andra scenkonstområden.
I början av 2011, blev hon speciellt inbjuden av Ohad Naharin att vara gäst i Batsheva Dance Company för att där
studera Gagans rörelsespråk och bli certifierad Gaga lärare. Keren avslutade denna första pilotutbildning i Tel Aviv
2012 och har sedan dess undervisat denna teknik på skolor och kompanier runt om i världen.

kommer vi att debiterar en kostnad om 200 kr/person.
