段落的結構The Structure of a Paragraph
段落的結構分為三個部分:
(A)「主題句」:表達全段中心思想的句子。
(B)「支持句」:支持、說明、闡述、申論主題
句,將中心思想充份擴展。
(C)「結論句」:將主題句及討論部分的支持論
點做個歸納或總結。

主題句Topic Sentence




1. 主題句須是完整句子 (sentence) 而非片段 (fragment)。
ex: Learning English v.s. Learning English is interesting to me.
2 主題句必須語意清楚 (clear) 且不模糊 (vague)。
ex: (X) To dance well, you need to know something about dancing.
(O) To dance well, you need a good sense of rhythm.
3 主題句語意不可過於廣泛(too general)。
ex : (X) Computers have great influences on our daily lives.
(O) We can easily communicate with our friends through e-mail.
4 主題句必須是可討論的(discussible)。
ex : (X) Chinese New Year’s Day falls on the first day on the lunar
calendar.
支持句 Supporting Sentence
1. 腦力激盪(brainstorming)後擬定大綱(writing a
rough outline),最後寫成完整的段落。
2. 針對主題句,提出5W1H問題。
3. 支持句要清楚且具體地表達,可用例子
(examples)、細節(details)、小故事(anecdotes)、
具體事實(events)或統計數字(facts or statistics)
、解釋(explanations)或理由(reasons)等技巧。

重述主題:用不同的文字重述主題句,
或是修改句中的字詞
ex : Women in Taiwan do a lot of things to have fair skin. For
example, on sunny days, most of them use sunscreen and even
carry parasols. The reason is very clear: they do not want to get
tanned. Another thing they do is to take vitamin C regularly, which is
supposed to lighten skin color. Some women also use skinlightening products to make their faces fair. A few women even take
the risk of having their skin bleached by a doctor, which is very
dangerous for people with sensitive skin. Women in Taiwan do try
hard to lighten their skin.
結論句 Concluding Sentence

下結論、預估未來或提出呼籲。
ex : The world population is growing very fast and this is a problem
we have to deal with immediately. Now the world has a population
of 6.5 billion. Even though there are enough resources for people at
this moment, the number 6.5 billion tells us that it is time we begin to
think seriously about how we should deal with the problem of
overpopulation. With so many people on earth, we have to learn
how to share resources better than before. We should also think of
ways to produce more food on limited land that we have now. At the
same time, we should put more effort into educating people about
family planning as well. In other words, all the countries should get
together and work on this problem before it is too late.

英文寫作教學的方法

I. Writing a Summary 摘要
1、摘要必須確實傳達原作的意思,不摻雜本
人的意見或感想。
2、摘要必須涵蓋原作中所有重點,但不包括
用來支持各個要點的細節。
3、摘要須使用自己的文字改寫原作中的要點。
英文寫作教學的方法
摘要教學步驟:
 1、指定某一課課文,請學生記下本課每一段落的
重點,並要求學生儘量以一個段落一個句子的
方式寫重點。
 2、請學生互相檢視所列的重點。
 3、請學生將彼此所列的重點互相比較,並討論自
己的看法和觀點。
 4、請學生將所列的重點連接起來,成為一篇摘
要。同時提醒學生要適當、轉折連接詞(and、
but、or、because、after等)或轉折副詞
(finally、now、in this way等) 。

As technology has developed, the lifestyle of the Tao has
changed to some degree. The plank boats that they used to
sail are now being replaced with engine-powered rafts. The
development of the local tourist industry is also presenting a
threat to the local environment, not to mention the thousands
of tons of nuclear waste stored on this island. Nevertheless,
