For instance, lets look at the Supplemental Exam for Electrical Trades: • Study material is in OH&S Code 36 and in Use of Electricity in the Mine. There are 87 questions and a pass mark requires 74 correct answers. You have up to three attempts to pass. July 14, 2012 MRW Computer Systems, Inc. 10 Required Exams • Note: Your Score is based on the last exam written, not on an average or best score. Let's go into the exam, click on "Electrical Supplemental.“ • Click on "Attempt Quiz Now" if this is first time to enter exam or "Continue the last attempt" if you have been in exam before. July 14, 2012 MRW Computer Systems, Inc. 11 Required Exams • Let's look at a sample question taken from next page: • There are some items to note in regards to exams, questions and answers: • All questions and answers are in random order. No two exams are the same. That can cause a bit of confusion but it also prevents cheating. • There is a link to the appropriate document right in front of the question. That gives you the opportunity to review the document before answering the question. July 14, 2012 MRW Computer Systems, Inc. 12 Required Exams • All answers are multiple choice. • The system will not tell you whether you got a correct answer or not on an individual question. • Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see two buttons available to click on: • Be very careful which one you click on. "Save without submitting" should be used frequently as it saves your work to that point. If you don't save when you exit the system, some of your work will be lost. July 14, 2012 MRW Computer Systems, Inc. 13 Required Exams • DO NOT click on "Submit all and finish" until you are ready to submit your exam for scoring. Clicking on this prematurely results in the exam being sent for scoring and your being locked out from finishing every question, making changes, etc. • Once the exam is completed, no review is allowed. Hopefully, we can change that feature at a future date. • Once you have completed and passed all the required exams, you should confirm with your administrator to ensure that your certificate can be issued in a timely manner.
