About Michigan Campus Compact
The Michigan Campus Compact is an out growth of Campus
Compact: the project for public and community service.
This national coalition was established in 1985 by a small
group of college and university presidents who were
concerned over the perception of a general decline in civic
responsibility.
The compact was formed to create public service
opportunities for college students and to develop an
expectation of service as an essential part of student life
and the college experience.

I shall pass this way but once;
therefore any good thing I can
do or kindness I can show, let
me do it now.
Let me not defer it or neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way
again!
I know my value as a person
will be measured by what I do
in each specific situation…
