The explanation !
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,
separated unto the gospel of God,
(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the
Holy Scriptures,)
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was
made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
And declared to be the Son of God with power,
according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection
from the dead:
Romans 1: 1-4
The reason !
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud
voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose
the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in
earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the
book, neither to look thereon.
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy
to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not:
behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of
David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose
the seven seals thereof

“We have no king but Caesar”
John 19:15
“The chief priests” There is a singular force in the exact definition of the
speakers here. They are not simply described as “ the Jews” ( John 18: 31; 19: 7),
nor yet as “The chief priests and the officers” (John 19:6). The official organs of the
theocracy themselves proclaim that they have abandoned the faith by which the
nation had lived. The sentence “We have no king but Caesar” (The foreign emperor)
is the legitimate end of their policy, the formal abdication of the Messianic hope. The
Kingdom of God, in the confession of its rulers, has become the kingdom of the
world. In the place of the Christ, they have found the emperor. They first rejected
Jesus as the Christ, and then, driven by the irony of circumstances, they have rejected
Christ altogether.

“There is no other Name……..”
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name (Grk.“The name”) which is above every name: That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.
Phil. 2: 9-11
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for
I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself,
the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall
not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue
shall swear. Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I
righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and
all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the
LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall
glory.

The Apostolic testimony spreads
Acts. 5: 16
•Apostles defy order to desist from preaching
•Crowds gather in the very precincts of the Temple
•Essential solidarity of Ecclesia undisturbed by events
•Populace honours the Apostles
•Peter grows in stature with the people
•News reaches outer districts, people flock to Jerusalem
•Main roads clogged with the sick brought to be healed
•Every one is healed
The Sadducees
• Founded as a sect in B.C. 260 by one named “Zadok” hence
“Zadokians” ( “Sadducees”) “Righteous ones”
•Small but powerful sect, mainly of the rich class, favoured by
the Maccabees (B.C. 135-75). Through political intrigue they
gained the priesthood Acts. 5:17
•Rational and sceptical, they did no believe in the
supernatural, Acts 23:8, and so opposed national fanaticism,
and religious zeal. This made them unpopular with the
masses, so that they were often constrained because of
popular opinion against them.
•Math.21: 26; 26: 3-5 Acts 4:21; 5:26
The Sadducees
•They opposed the Pharisees, totally rejecting the oral
traditions. They considered all Scripture as sacred, but only
the Pentateuch as authoritative
•They scorned the idea of immortality and future rewards,
teaching that the best in this present life was the reward of
virtue
•Note their opposition to the Pharisees on their stated policy of
political expediency. John 11: 47-50
The Sadducees
•The early opposition to our Lord came mainly from the
Pharisees, but the Priests took a more prominent part in
procuring the Lord’s death
John 19:15
•Their opposition intensifies throughout the book of The
Acts as their foundation doctrine of no resurrection was
powerfully assailed.

Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Jewish emphasis on circumcision
Gal 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair show in the
flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they
should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past
Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by
that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by
hands;
Phi 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in
the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no
confidence in the flesh.
Throughout the earth, our Father, we
revere thee. Led by thy Son, together
we stand true
One faith, one love, Thy Spirit binds us
firmly as sons and daughters blessed
in Thy view.
From many lands we raise our eyes
toward Thee, Our voices joined as one
great family.
Our many lives are woven, fitly
blended as tapestry created by Thy
hand.
Within each thread, Thy glory is
extended, with every colour quality
and strand.
Upon thy loom our differences
become one: a pleasing tribute to
thee and thy Son
From many nations of the earth do
we hail. With many tongues we form
our praise to Thee.
Across the seas from mountain, isle,
and deep vale, Thy sons and
daughters in one love agree.
And as we strengthen one another in
Thee, Thy spirit binds in perfect
harmony.
Throughout the earth, our Father we
revere thee. Led by thy Son together
we stand true
One faith, one love, Thy Spirit binds
us firmly as sons and daughters
blessed in Thy view.
From many lands we raise our eyes
toward Thee, Our voices joined as
one great family.
