De Vlaamse Vereniging voor Echografie (VVE) organiseert op
zaterdag, 11 oktober 2014 de eerste in een reeks van 5 basis-cursussen in
de verloskundige, gynaecologische en internistische echografie.
Verloskundige Echografie
In dit eerste verloskundig gedeelte wordt aandacht besteed aan de fysica
en veiligheid van ultrageluid, en de “tools” om het beeld te optimaliseren.
Nadien is het logisch om te starten met de zeer jonge zwangerschap:
vroege ontwikkeling, viabiliteit, lokalisatie en datering worden belicht.
We sluiten het eerste trimester af met evaluatie van de tools en uitkomst
van de aneuploïdie screening. Na de pauze leggen we de nadruk op foetale
groei en de tools om afwijkende foetale groei te begeleiden. Andere
toepassingen van het Doppler onderzoek worden eveneens belicht. De
snelle evolutie binnen de genetische testen maakt dat we vaak door de
bomen het bos niet meer zien. Nochtans is het belangrijk in het kader van
de prenatale diagnostiek om een inzicht te verwerven in de mogelijkheden en
beperkingen van deze nieuwe analyses.
Aanvullend kan u samen met de tutors ‘tips and trics’ aanleren tijdens de
hands-on sessie.
Deze opleiding richt zich in hoofdzaak tot artsen in opleiding, doch reeds
gevormde specialisten met interesse in dit domein zijn hartelijk welkom.
Abdominal Ultrasound
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in a new cycle of courses on
‘Abdominal Ultrasound’ organized by the VVE, supported by the BASL,
the SRBGE and the VVGE.
The focus of this years’ program is on the role of ultrasonography in bowel
disorders (inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, appendicitis, …).The
goal of this session is to make the general ultrasonographer more familiar
with this field in order to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure in a
young patient population needing regular radiological follow-up.
Additionally, the role of contrast enhanced ultrasound in daily practice will
be discussed, mainly focusing on identification of focal liver lesions.
These topics will be discussed in theoretical lectures. In the afternoon
hands-on sessions will be organized (general abdominal ultrasound with
special attention on bowel anatomy) in healthy volunteers. A specialized
training on models will be organized during the Belgian Week of
Gastroenterology, 25 and 26.02.2015.
The target audience is everyone interested in abdominal ultrasound. The
program is designed not only for physicians in training for gastroenterology
or radiology but also for established physicians performing ultrasound in
daily practice.
