My Testimony.
I praise and thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity to know His son, our Lord Jesus Christ
and for me to be able to write this testimony. It is such a privilege to be able to share what God has done
for me. I was born to a very catholic family. I was a very “religious” and active catholic, going to mass
every day and saying the rosary. I continued when I moved here, to Canada, four years ago. I was
doubling in all kinds of sin, sexual immorality, getting drunk, smoking, lying, etc. I would pray and the
Spirit continued to convict me, but I would brush it off. Even when I made the decision to change my
ways, I was never successful. I know now that I had the wrong motivation and spirit (Romans 3:24, 1
Corn 2:12). I deluded myself into a lifestyle where I indulged my flesh, prayed and continued. I was
trying to get the best of both worlds. God changed circumstances around me. I became homeless and had
to go to a shelter. I prayed so hard, and He answered. God gave my son and I a home and provided an
income to me when I was faced with a possibility of no income. I self I identified as a Christian.
However, I continued in sin. Fornicating, lying, gossiping, any chance I got I went to the club. I felt
emptier and did not know why. I started receiving warnings to stop being lukewarm. (Romans 8:13). I
could no longer go for mass, I just felt sad, depressed and hated myself. Then one day I was blessed to
hear the Goodnews from Pastor Paul Washer over on YouTube and I was amazed. I could not believe
what I was hearing. I had to check it out for myself. I opened my bible and read the most beautiful
passage. (Romans 3:23-26). Wow! It was so wonderful, I continued down and above this passage and I
was in shock, disbelief and alter helplessness. God graciously showed me His son and I could be His
daughter (John 1:11-13). I knelt and prayed. I gave my life to Christ, and I believed 1 Corin 15: 3-6. Jesus
paid for it all. (John 19:30) The things I like are changing; music, clothing, movies etc. I spoke to my
boyfriend, and we put a stop to the fornication, I longed to be with other believers but most of all I have
joy. So much Joy, Jesus has saved me, literally. I continue to see God’s abundant Grace through Jesus
Christ. I have been a Christian for a couple of months now. They have been some of the hardest months
of my life, but the easiest too. I have faced so many temptations and fallen too but it is different. I keep
asking myself who am I that He has done this for me? But the Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
and his tender mercies are over all His works. (Psalms 145 8-9). I will always glorify Him through His
Grace and pray that He gives me opportunities to speak of His goodness. I also pray that I continue to
grow in faith and love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
