Which has the most carbohydrates? Least?
How do the products compare in terms of sugars, sodium, protein and fiber
content?
Are there any products that stand out as particularly high or low in certain
nutrients?
“Which food is the healthier choice, and why?”
Froot Loops has the higher fat content, containing 1.5 grams of fat (2% DV) compared to Frosted
Flakes’ 0 grams (0% DV) of fat. Froot Loops also beats Frosted Flakes in carb count, with the
former having 34 grams of carbohydrates versus the latter’s 33 grams. The two cereals are equal
in sugar content (both having 12 grams of sugar) but Froot Loops has 20 more milligrams of
sodium than Frosted Flakes. Both cereals have equal amounts of protein but Froot Loops has
more fiber. Frosted Flakes has a very high iron content while having very low contents of
Vitamins A + C as well as calcium. Froot Loops has high contents of Vitamin C and Iron and
low contents of Vitamin A and Calcium. Overall, I think Froot Loops is the healthier cereal
option because it is more balanced, as it has a higher quantity of more nutrients than Frosted
Flakes.
