Vitamin Test Your report
For those of us who need a little biology refresher course, vitamins are natural substances found in plants and animals that help keep our
body healthy. Health experts generally recommend that we obtain our vitamins through natural sources rather than supplements,
although there are some exceptions. Women who are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or at risk of developing osteoporosis may require
additional vitamins, as well as individuals on a vegan or vegetarian diet. If you feel you may need supplementary vitamins or minerals,
please make sure to talk to your doctor first.
Overall Results 29
Your score indicates that you seem to be getting enough vitamins in your daily diet. Keep in mind however, that vitamin requirements also
depend on age, gender, and overall health. Even if you have a fairly healthy diet, other issues, such as the manner in which you prepare
your vegetables (boiled vs. raw), can also affect the amount of vitamins you're actually getting. Most nutritionists maintain that the best
source of vitamins should come from natural sources. In your case, you appear to be on the right track. Keep it up!
