Identify Concerns
Our concern is kids in the Rock Port Elementary
School eating an unhealthy, not nutritional lunch.
Eating unhealthy food causes fatigue and health
problems. We want hem to fix their eating habits
now, so it will benefit them in the future.
SMART Goal; Set a
Goal
Our specific goal in our SMART goal is to teach the
3rd grade students how to pack a proper,
nutritional lunch. Before Christmas break, we are
to be finished with our project, and hopefully
influence the 3rd graders. This is achievable
because we have lesson plans and papers we sent
home to parents/guardians for permission to teach
their children. We will also send papers home to
further educate the kids. Our project is relevant
because we want a better future for these kids,
and for their parent to trust in them. Before
Christmas break of 2025, our project was finsihed.
Child Development
Concepts; Set a Goal
Our goal is for the 3rd grade students to fix
their eating habits for their future health, and
to pack a proper lunch every day for school or
at home without the help of a parent or
guardian in the room.
Project Organization;
Form a Plan
We formed a plan by using the who, what, where,
when, why, and how questions to decide the best
attack for this project. We had support from
Laura Forehand, Betsy Larson, and Crystal Goins.
These people are kind and generous, and the
entire reason we were able to do this project was
because of them.
Timeline,
Responsibilities, and
Budget; Form a Plan
In late August we decided we wanted to work
together, and In September we started make a
plan. We took action in the beginning of October.
Finally, we did our last presentation on
November 12th. We finished our entire project
before Christmas break.
Working with
Children; Act
We take action by working hard in 7th hour
everyday to ensure the children understand
and comprehend the importance of eating
correctly. Sometimes in 8th hour if there is
extra work, we will complete it.
Evaluation: Follow
Up
Our project was a success and was impactful.
The students sayed they enjoyed the
demonstration. For our evaluation we sent out
rd
Google forms to ask the 3 grade students
what they liked and how we could improve.
Project Impact:
Follow Up
Our project was very impactful on the 3rd
