Some thoughts on welcome letters – really a welcome and orientation plan - for our newly
pledged constituents.
Purpose: to have an informed, trained, and growing team of powerful autonomous individuals,
engaged in spreading this word, this message about climate restoration We can do this, and are
committed to doing this by the year 2050. We are going to turn around the damaging impact that
an industrial society had on the atmosphere, and the climate; we are going to return it to a
historically safe, pre-industrial normal.
Intended results: have each new person clear on the distinction of climate restoration
Have each new person be clear on our commitment to having a restored climate by 2050
Have each new person get at least a glimpse of the difference they are making. Committing to
providing all the generations that follow us with a stable healthy safe climate, pre-industrial
climactic conditions.
Have each new person be interested in this enough to continue opening our emails, and to
continue on the thread to a fuller orientation to the field of climate restoration.
Have each new person familiar enough with the distinction “climate restoration” to be able to
define it for, explain it to another (maybe this is a goal a little bit beyond the initial welcome
letter).
Orient our new people to things they can do to be part of expanding this movement.
Have each new person get it that what we are doing is creating a new narrative around the
climate issue - “Climate Restoration: We Can Do This” and then creating a movement around
that narrative. Have each new person get that establishing a new narrative is massively powerful,
and it is something even every “little individual” can do. And indeed it is something only
individuals can do; at least that only real natural people can create this stand in their hearts, and
then out of that stand be part of the massive upwelling of voices that know how to communicate
effectively about this.
