Correcting Vision with Technology
After creating my video it occurred to me that the diagram below (from the text book) might be useful.
It explains which types of lenses are used to correct vision. Have a quick look at it.
Questions
1. What do we mean when we say a person is long-sighted or short-sighted?
2. Which parts of the eye are responsible for focussing light coming into the eye onto the retina?
3. Why is important that the image is focussed onto the retina?
4. The lens is used to accommodate for distant or close up vision. What does this mean and how
does the lens do that?
5. What is an astigmatism?
6. Using the information in the slide show and the diagram above how can we help someone who
is near-sighted.
7. Other than lenses how else can we help people who are long or short sighted.
