A. This relates to the conversations on nationalism in class because The Prime minister is
pushing bills that promote national identity and cultural heritage. This corresponds with
the class discussions because it relates to how people associate nationality with
grouping citizens.
B. By connecting English to nationalism, some groups might feel discriminated against
because they happen to speak a different language. Italy is focusing on making sure the
Italian language is the flagship of the country, putting a fine on using English enforces
this idea.
C. Nationalism promotes what's best for the majority group of a country by establishing
Norms while globalization values all norms and societal standards.
D. People who are included in this are those with traditionally Italian values, like Christian,
family oriented and culturally conservative. Those who are excluded are people who fall
outside that, like immigrants, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ community. Restricting parents
who are the same sex from being able to register children allows the government to
restrict who belongs in the nations.
E. Can be described as cultural right-wing nationalism; it focuses on keeping their culture
pure. They put restrictions on farming and are defensive against other EU influences.
This unites the core against outsiders or those they view as outsiders.
