Bayerite Alumina
High purity bayerite is a non-dispersible high density crystalline beta alumina trihydrate widely used in catalyst
compositions requiring a high surface area calcined substrate with more acidity than gamma alumina.
Calcination of crystalline bayerite leads to destruction of the original highly crystalline framework and evolves through
high surface area alumina phases eta and theta before reaching alpha alumina.
