As is noted, the chart illustrates items of GDP in the
UK from 1992 to 2000.Overall, the IT industry was at
an all-time high, higher than the Services industry.
On the one hand, in the year 1992, the IT industry
was above 6% of GDP. In addition, in the year 1994,
the IT industry achieved a score 8%. Surprisingly, in
1996, the IT industry witnessed a decrease to below
8%. More interestingly, in 1998, there was
significant progress in the IT industry compared with
other past years. Finally, the IT industry went
further ahead more than 14% in 2000.
On the other hand, the Service industry showed a
steady upward trend from year 1992 to 2000. In the
year 1992, the Service industry accounted for about
4% of GDP. Moreover, Service industry achieved a
score above 6%. Also, there was a little progress in
the year 1996. This was followed by another
increase in the year 1998. After that, in 2000, it
recorded the highest score in GDP.
